In a joint military effort which will improve Israel's reconnaissance abilities, India will launch an Israeli spy satellite in the upcoming days according to a report in the American weekly magazine "Aviation Week".

Israel's first Polaris/TecSat military imaging radar satellite will be launched from India's launch site on an island in the Bay of Bengal.
The satellite will have night vision capabilities and will be able to see at a resolution of 1 meter.

The satellite, according to "Aviation Week", will join the Ofek-7 military spy satellite which was launched from Israel in June following the failure to launch Ofek-6.

Israel and India have established strong military and strategic ties, with the joint launching of a satellite marking the upgrade of this cooperation into space.
